The war rages on and new expanders are constantly being developed and built, while others become obsolete, even though they may still be effective. Various divisions become increasingly desperate for newer technology to build newer more powerful expanders which they hope can be mass produced. However rebuilding and repairing damaged and slowly aging expanders is useful but begins to have its cost effects causing some divisions seek other means of protection and abandon their expanders to other divisions for use as lesser units more so for urban protection, training or target practice. The Mortar Boy is one such expander that is manufactured by several divisions. But to one man their usage has not yet come to an end but in fact a rebirth. Captain, Torrance Tyler a fielded and renowned pilot and commander of EDEN’s mechanized divisions is one such who believes in this.
